Not entirely true. A new male that wants to mate with a female that has a cub by another male, will kill the cub (not necessarily eat it), to get rid of the gene line and reduce pressure on food resources by competition with another predator (the cub).

Pee Ess. A long time recommendation for ‘normal’ cars has been to keep a legal knife or razor blades in the center console to cut a seat belt if you ever got trapped in an accident. I guess a ball-peen hammer is in order to smash the glass to get out, however anyone with sense and enough adrenaline to stay alive would have kicked the window out and extricated themselves - unless, of course, the seatbelts were electronic as well.
