July 31, 2022 is the last day that incandescent bulbs can be sold in Hamerica before they are illegal.
I have no affiliation with any of these companies. I get no money for sharing these links. This is a list of what companies worked for me, it is not an endorsement.
It took all this time for me to budget and receive the orders to evaluate the shipping and products.
These are the only places that still had limited inventory, were packed properly, the boxes came undamaged, and all of the bulbs tested as working before being put into storage.
If you sign up for Health Lighting you can get a 15% off coupon.
If you buy a certain amount from Wayfair you can get free shipping.
I know it’s late in the game and some supplies are sold out. Some are on backorder and might not make it before the Commie shutdown of the safest lighting on the planet. But its the best I could do to get it to you in a timely fashion.
Here’s the scoop:
Incandescents are just a filament in an evacuated chamber and that white coating is kaolin clay.
What are called incandescent but are labeled as halogens have methyl Bromide a toxic halogen used to fumigate strawberries inside.
Fluorescent bulbs are filled with mercury but I have no idea if that powder coat is still Beryllium as it was in the old days. Beryllium makes asbestos look like talcum powder…
… oh, weight! Talcum powder IS asbestos….
LED bulbs for me are fine if you want a superbright tactical flashlight but you put those abominations into an electrical grid and you’ve got the makings of the signal for the Stepford Wives activation. Homey Don’t Play Dat.
So, I’ve stocked up.
It’s not like I think any of us have a chance at survival in the next few years, but if you don’t go through the motions then you will regret it if you didn’t.
Just so you know:
The Standard lightbulb is an A21 with a medium base.
Take the time to see if you need appliance bulbs, flood lamps (PAR and BR can be rated for outdoor use but ask first), normal household bulbs, or any specialty bulbs that you might need or want. My choice is always the high wattage bulbs because I do a lot of work and I need to SEE what I’m doing.
BE VERY CAREFUL WITH YOUR CHOICES! read the listings carefully. Some bulbs will be low voltage, some 120V filaments, some 130V filaments that burn dimmer in 120V, some are 250V, some have odd bases, some have short life spans. I typically look for a bulb that has a lifespan rating that is higher. A 100W light bulb rated at 3000 hours is a far cry better than the same junk from the dollar store (not anymore… the whores have gone full LED everywhere) that lasts 400 to 700 hours before you get a nice arc fireworks display.
Hope it helps.
I’ll post later when they outlaw breathing without paying carbon dioxide credits.
If one is willing to make an investment (as I am) then Chromalux full spectrum artist's lightbulbs sold at Jerry's Arterama are worth it. I have used this brand for over 3 decades and can attest to their exceptionally long life. It is quite possible that they will be exempt due to their status as art supplies.
