Butt, when you factor in the TRANSPLANTED EARTHWORMS, this ecosystem never had a chance against the parasites (hu-man, not worms, although the parasites brought in the worms).

Yet another import that has me really pissed off because I have several fruit trees that are UNDER pollinated because there is a native Apple Bee (not the rest or rhant) that delivers nearly 100% pollination that can be competed with by the Honeybee or the Honeybee just doesn’t show up.

Have I said yet that I’ve never liked honey even as a kid?

So, I’ve got nothing invested in the White Man Fly the dependence on which could collapse agriculture because before the Borg Bees get released there was FORCED dependence on this migrant workers.

Back to the worms: There are those who brag about how great worms are for the soil and then they say that we have to get back to Nature and the Old Ways.

Worms in the BRAIN for a clickbait title? Aren’t See Eye Aye assets like Stamets saying that the forest floor is the internet of the world. So, quite literally in my mind (don’t go there!) the invasive species of burrowing earthworms as described in the first video fucked the hell up the exquisite balance of old-growth forests by erasing its Mind and Memory. So, not clickbait if you think in terms of Continuum.

I had no idea that earthworms were an INVASIVE SPECIES but I also had no affection for a worm box to enhance my compost. Earthworms in the early 1900s where associated with pigs that rooted around and ate them that then delivered lung worms to the pigs, the lung worms harboring Pfeiffer’s Bacteria that in turn harbored the virus that leads to Swine Flu (if I remember correctly - at this point who gives a shit about Fact Checking when earthworms and honeybees are illegal immigrants?).

This chain of micro-organisms that I call the Trojan Horse Delivery system might have never happened if the earthing worm hadn’t arrived here - like hookworms.

It’s claimed that hookworms - you know the things that burrow into your bare feet in Southern Climes then set up in your intestines in a cluster - were also not native to North Hamerica. Legend is that a slave brought to the Southern shores was afflicted with diarrhea and let loose a flood of worms before he went on the auction block and the rest is hysteria.

Hookworms are a great cause of anemia - if you know better causes then let me know - so the likes of Rockefeller and Carnegie determined that they would get rid of this impediment to squeezing out as much labor from the slacker Southerners by giving them a nice dose of carbon tetrachloride (dry cleaning solution for those of you old enough to remember). But what that did was kill the hookworms but REALLY PISS OFF THE ROUNDWORMS that then tied themselves into knots and the bolus would impact the bowel and all sorts of horrors would insue. So the Rich Bastards in a move of Fill Anne Throw Pee decided that it was easier to just get the bumkins to start wearng shoes, to prevent the hookworms from entering their feet.
