Well, Kids…
I was told that I should probably use my Geiger Counter go over the same spots that were reading in the 50 Count Per Minute range in my yard after the first Chinese Lumber Burning Extravaganza to see change over time.
Chinada sent smoke about a weak back that turned the setting sun at 30-degrees above the horizon into BRIGHT RED. The air hurt to breathe. There were violent rain storms, more smoke, more rain, and then I went out today.
Now, beer in mind that I go out with the plastic cap on the detector. What that does is keeps out Alpha particles so the only thing that gets through are Beta and Gamma.
I went over the old haunts and things had changed. The old hotspots were no longer hot but places like dust on my car were in the 40s.
I got a whilde hare up my arse to check out the MOSS that was green and prolific in the yard and it lit up like a nuclear christmas tree!
Bare in mind that 100 CPM is an alarm count so the peak at 74 CPM was very concerning. Now I knew that lichens and moss are indicators of air pollution but I had never thought until now to probe them. Some moss on leeward sides of trees and other things were 24 cpm! the lowest I have measured since I got this device.
I guess wild hairs grow on trees so I put Ye Old Probe onto a cluster of apples and through the plastic bags around them they were 72!
This means that the tree within the short growing period had pulled radioactive isotopes from the air and put them into the fruit.
When I walked around the yard the air was higher than background that runs from high 20s to 34-38 CPM. Now it was in the 50s.
An aluminum ladder left out during the smoke and rain was a steady 52 CPM.
A ten minute count to get an average in the house was 37.2 cpm that is the high end of ‘average’ but SHOULD be lower.
Smoke - we can deal with it.
Chemical odors in the smoke - we might be able to deal with those EXCEPT for benzene which is a DNA poison.
Radioactive Isotopes are Gallows Building Time for those who created this.
I’m in Ohio and plants, trees and shrubs are literally dead. My trees have some kind of fungus on the trunks and leaves. This all started about 2 years ago and has progressed. The soil where I live is mostly clay, so I dunno about Ph or acidity.
I went to burn some dead yard waste, and holy shit, that stuff went up so fast and really burned hot scared the hell out of me. Thank God I always have my hose on stand by. What normally would have been a small fire was an inferno.
There is a grey like film on everything especially after it rains and filaments all over. This really shows up on my black fire pit cover. You definitely don’t want to disturb it, if you do you’ll be hacking for days and feel like you were run over.
I got cobwebs because the spiders are gone, that glow and throw light. It’s eerie.
No birds, bugs, bees and I’m noticing very very few squirrels.
Right now I got word from one of the Amish farmers I deal with that there is an out break of Bell’s palsy in the vaxed and unvaxed. So, it’s got to be in the air.
I’m to the point I’m thinking of getting my own personal Hazmat suit with air just to mow the flipping lawn.
Well at least Texas has some sun, it’s non existent here. I now rely on a Medical grade vitamin D lamp these days.
I think it’s time we need to drone these planes and HAARP stations.
I love your vivid imagination, you crack me up 😂.
