The 'argument' is that cultures around the world eat insects.

There is a very simple and scientific reason for this:

The whole history of sushi is that coastal towns were devasted by Sun Namis and the like so they had no fire wood so WHEREAS they WOULD HAVE COOKED the fish they couldn't so they ate it raw and called it a delicacy.

Fast forward to today where you can make fire with a BIC lighter from the convenient store (I was shown how to make fire with a stick, a piece of bark and dry moss in New Guinea Highlands) then eating raw fish is JUST FUCKING STUPID.

Every single Japanese and Okinawan I've met had STOMACH PROBLEMS.

I'll repeat it as many times as is necessary. I have an Army Field Manual from the 1930s that says if you enter an area but there is no insect or bird sounds then proceed with caution. If you see dead bugs or birds then get the fuck out of there. No, they din't print that but that's what it meant.
