Finally someone not spouting bullshit but saying it like it is.
I posted in the comments:
”Thank you for this. My first book on Aikido had images of the flowing moves and the description always ended with: And then deliver Atemi.”
You’ll never find an endorsement from me of any one style. This is why Bruce Lee borrowed from all styles and called his: The Style of No Style.
The reason that they have all been engineered to fail these days is exactly what Leo Tamaki said: it is RITUAL combat. Real combat has NO RULES. It might have been Sha Lee who said that a rabbi was laughing at the Goy because he said: “We gave you sports and taught you rules and you follow the rules. We follow no rules.”
Aikido has merit ONLY if it has no rules. Small Circle Jujitsu makes all of the broad moves devastating.
Karate has merit ONLY if it was learned from an Japanese/Okinawan master who wasn’t holding back secrets from the invading G.I.’s Of COURSE they wouldn’t teach them family secrets held for centuries.
Judo is part of a whole.
Tai Quan Do was invented by peasants (farmers) who had no weapons so they had to do high kicks to knock invading soldiers off of horses. How many horsemen have you kicked today?
Muay Thai is brutal as is filipino Arnis because they were combat forms that are only watered down for barn dances like MMA.
Tai Chi Chuan is the Grand Ultimate Fist that is mistaken for the equivalent practice of Tai Chi Gong the healing energy building work. But they were NEVER separate any more than the Tao is separate.
Imagine the coupling of what is called Hard and Soft in one form where energy has been measured by electrical devices to be projected at a distance of ten feet? This ain’t your uncle and granny doing slow ballet in a park in China (although they might be able to kick your ass). This USED to be lethal combat.
What is said to be nearly undefeatable is Drunken Boxing but no one takes it seriously because even Jackie Chan portrays it as something to be laughed at. I won’t go into any details but the most humorous quote from Rondi Chen who teaches Snake Fist Style Drunken Boxing said, “Don’t worry about being hit. By the time you worry about being hit - you’ve already been hit…”
The Gracie style of on-the-ground grappling has its place and can be devastating but the principles of Kyushu Jitsu is: One-second Fighting. By the time you’ve Intercepted (Bruce Lee Jeet Kune Do word) the attack you should have control of your opponent in one second then the next seconds are based on your decisions to Harm, Maim, Kyll.

Kung Fu has also been watered down to the point where the Gong Fu practitioners in MMA rings (bound by rules) matched with street fighters have the look of stunned animals because they are imposed with rules and the attacks aren’t coming like they practiced for 10 years. The broad sweeping Kamae of Karate Kid showing Crane Style is yet another lie. You don’t pretend that you’re a bird and then kick and then the fight is over. The Kamae IS the move and you opponent in this situation is presumed ded by the time your wings are spread.
Even in a ‘real fight’ [oxymoron] they use/show only the kick not the entire thing.
Taoism was said by Arrhenius in his book Destiny of the Stars, to have originated as a Sun Cult. I’m fully convinced that Tibetan Buddhism is just a front for the Illuminati.
The Buddha (Siddartha Guatama) who died ~400 years before “J”esus was born was a prince in India (Family). Bodhi Dharma the 29th successor brought Marma Adi from India (their own form of lethal combat) and taught it to the monks in the Lofty Pines of Xiaolin. Now imagine my absolute disgust then the US-installed Stooge Maw Say Dung went throughout the country destroying buddhist temples while the monks just stood gapemouthed doing nothing despite their training to be able to Kyll with a Touch.
If I missed any sacred cows to BBQ and didn’t cover anyone’s pet style: If it wasn’t taught in full combat mode and tested at that level then it’s just a sport with rules.
Rules with get YOU kilt, and I’m not talking a man’s skirt with nothing underneath the bag pipes.
Well redefined! ! ! Bravo!
The Russian have their 'Systema' which is not a martial art, it s just war combat techniques (no rules! Indeed) and Putin use this way of thinking and strategy... So now everytime my Systema instructors (there is no grade, no belt or other crap in Systema! Newbie instructor and old are considered the same) has a MMA fighter that want to 'train' with them, they put them in hospital! Because it's not fighting, it s fucking war, no fucking rules, you fight for your fucking life because the other guy wants to kill you!!! Bruce Lee would have loved that, it s the closest thing from what he was looking to find as a fight technique!!!
The unwritten rule.....
NO RULES !
Of Course it is.
This was pretty cool, I learned a lot without doing a lot.
Wax on Wax off.
